Line Break

Haaris Ahmed is the Ronin Samurai around these parts.

Halloween2Michael Myers has been slashing people since 1978. He started it all, Halloween was literally the 1st slasher flick and has become an AMERICAN franchise, so yeah I do feel some sort of patriotic pride when Mike stabs the living shit out of some supple 17 year old harlot. Plus Halloween music is probably the scariest music for a horror villain, EVER.

Mikey has been around the block and then some, the ongoing Halloween series has seen some fantastic story lines dealing with super natural resurrections, extreme violence, massive psychosis and some serious nudity. Recently Rob Zombie has taken on the Halloween franchise and instead of continuing the storyline he decided to remake it, I guess no hip hop artists wanted to be in this one (Busta Rhymes was in the last Halloween). I HATE IT WHEN HOLLYWODD REMAKES MOVIES, seriously I fucking hate it. So when I went to see the first installment of the Rob Zombie Halloween I expect complete trash, and I was completely WRONG. Mr. Zombie went into the mind of a young Michel Myers and showed how Mike’s “American Upbringing” led him to be the psychopath he is. In short I fell in love with Halloween all over again, plus the soundtrack was awesome, I mean Rush was on the soundtrack, RUSH.

So I was expecting GREAT things out of H2. I sorta got what I wanted. He basically redid the 2nd and 3rd Halloween’s in 1 movie. We all know a gunshot to the eye isn’t going to stop Michael from killing. In this remake we see his invisible driving force manifested into his mother(Sheri Moon Zombie) and a pale white horse. If you can’t get the obvious symbolize let me help you out, a pale horse represents the 4th horseman in the apocalypse, Death, and Michel Myers is its white knight.

The storyline takes place when Angel Myers is a year older and living with a Michael Myers survivor? I know wtf, but this is Halloween, and Mr. Myers always means business.

This flick dives deeper into the psychosis of Michael Myers, but unlike the 1st one it gets super weird and super natural. It flashes between both Michael and his sister, Angel, who for about ¾ of the movie still does not know she is Michael’s sister. And as with the case of all the Halloween movies, Michael is searching for his sister, and killing everything that comes his way.

Did I like this movie? Yes. Did I like it as much as I like Rob Zombies 1st installment of Halloween? No. Rob Zombie puts these hints of realism in all of his projects that you just don’t see in main stream horror any more, which provides a great horror experience. The soundtrack is EPIC, I loved each and every track that they played in this movie, and he even worked out a concert sequence with tits, and I love tits. I did like how he combined 2 movies into 1, and I really liked the ending, and yes he left the storyline open for a third installment. Rob Zombie has stated previously that this was going to be the final chapter of his Halloween remakes, but I personally would love to see a 3rd installment especially with the way it ended.

Final verdict, go see this movie if you like the Halloween series or are into slasher flicks, and if you aren’t into these types of flicks, 1 your boring and 2 don’t see this movie. Michael
